Recruitment Manager Location: London (Herne Hill) Type: Part-Time, 3 days a week Salary: £38,000 per annum (pro rata) About the Role Banya Family Placement Agency is looking for a qualified social worker to support foster carer recruitment as a Recruitment Manager. This part-time role is responsible for leading their recruitment of foster carers, guiding applicants through the assessment process, and collaborating with the marketing team to design and deliver successful recruitment campaigns. The position plays a vital role in ensuring the organization recruits carers who provide quality care tailored to the needs of children in care. This role is office-based from their London office in Herne Hill, with occasional travel within England to support events and attend meetings. Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Compliance Recruit foster carers who meet the specific needs of placing local authorities. Organize and oversee pre-approval training sessions for prospective carers. Supervise assessing social workers to ensure high-quality assessments. Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with fostering regulations and standards. Recruitment Activities Manage the entire recruitment and assessment process for foster carers. Write and oversee Form F Assessments to required standards within agreed timescales. Collaborate with the administration team to complete statutory checks and risk assessments efficiently. Identify and support specialist fostering opportunities based on identified needs. People Management Supervise assessing social workers and oversee each stage of the carer assessment process. Provide support and guidance for complex cases in collaboration with the Registered Manager. Foster a customer-focused relationship with prospective carers to ensure their engagement and satisfaction. Training & Development Deliver regular Skills to Foster training sessions for prospective carers. Collaborate with Area Teams to identify and deliver relevant training opportunities. Management Information & Reporting Monitor and analyze recruitment data using their applicant database (CHARMS). Identify trends, challenges, and opportunities to optimize recruitment efforts. Share insights with the marketing team and senior management to drive improvements. Stakeholder Engagement Develop relationships with local authority commissioning teams and fostering bodies such as The Fostering Network and Coram BAAF. Represent their organization at provider meetings and regional forums. Targets Ensure all assessments are completed within 20 weeks from enquiry to panel. Present a minimum of 7 prospective carers to the fostering panel each month. Conduct Skills to Foster training on a weekly basis. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Social Work qualification (DipSW, CSS, CQSW) and Social Work England Registration. Management certificate (Level 4 or above) or willingness to obtain. Proven experience in family placement, recruitment campaigns, and Form F assessments. In-depth knowledge of fostering standards, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation. Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Excellent communication, analytical, and time management skills. Desirable: Experience working in Social Work within a fostering agency or similar environment. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and database systems like CHARMS.
