About the Drama Department: The Drama department is a passionate and collaborative team committed to providing a high-quality drama education that fosters creativity, teamwork, and self-expression. We have a well-equipped drama studio and performance space, and we encourage students to explore a variety of dramatic styles and techniques. About the Role: Teach Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on experience and interest. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including improvisation, devising, script work, physical theatre, and voice work, to develop students' performance skills and confidence. Direct and produce school productions, providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents and work collaboratively. Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys. Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and stimulating learning environment. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or equivalent. Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Drama. Demonstrates a passion for teaching and a commitment to student success. Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
