We currently have an opportunity for a Learning and Development Manager to join our dynamic team based in Exeter. Joining us on a full-time permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.
About the role
As our Learning and Development Manager you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive learning and development programs to enhance the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of our employees.
You will have strong communication skills and will be collaborating closely with key stakeholders across various departments to identify training needs, develop effective learning strategies, and deliver engaging and impactful learning experiences.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in instructional design, adult learning principles, and talent development, along with exceptional communication and project management skills. You should also have hands-on experience coaching and developing individuals and be confident in empowering leaders across the business to do the same within their teams.
What you’ll be doing:
* Driving the Learning and Development agenda, using blended techniques and acting as a key point of contact providing advice and guidance on all aspects of learning and development.
* Designing and delivering inspirational learning and leadership programmes, including industry role related schemes, ranging from online learning materials to in-person learning and development sessions.
* Collaborating with senior management to design and implement leadership development programs aimed at enhancing the capabilities of current and future leaders within the organisation.
* Adopting a holistic view of Talent Management, incorporating Career Development and Succession Planning, to deliver a comprehensive plan and associated learning interventions.
* Conducting thorough assessments to identify organisational and individual learning needs, using various methods such as surveys, interviews, and performance evaluations.
* Curating and developing engaging learning curricula, courses, and training materials tailored to meet identified learning objectives and organisational goals.
* Delivering high-quality training sessions, workshops, and learning activities using a variety of modalities, including instructor-led training, coaching, on-the-job training, e-learning, virtual classrooms, and blended learning approaches.
What we are looking for:
To make this role a success, you'll need experience of the full Learning and Development cycle including needs analysis, design, delivery and evaluation. You'll have had responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of quality blended learning and development initiatives across a large, complex organisation.
With a proactive and continuous learning mindset, you'll be highly organised with proven ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams to budget and schedule across various populations. You'll also have the ability to identify development needs and develop appropriate, impactful interventions.
* You will be CIPD qualified or have significant equivalent experience in Learning and Development.
* You will have the appropriate Coaching qualification and be well practiced in coaching.
* Proven experience in learning and development, talent management or associated fields, with a focus on instructional design and training delivery.
* Strong stakeholder engagement with the ability to influence at all levels and a collaborative approach to working within HR and the wider business to deliver successful outcomes.
* Resilient and comfortable working in a complex change landscape with high ambiguity.
* A creative, innovative, and solution-focused mindset with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
* Demonstrated Project Management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities within established timelines and budgets.
* Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners at all levels of the organisation.
