What are we looking for?
We are seeking a Sales Executive with extensive experience in Air, Sea, and Road Freight sales to strengthen our UK sales team. This field sales role covers either the Midlands or London and surrounding areas.
Your responsibilities include generating new business by selling NX Air, Sea, Road, and Warehousing products, while building strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers to maximize satisfaction and revenue. The ideal candidate is resilient, determined, and experienced in targeting, researching, hunting new leads, and managing the sales process from initial contact to order and delivery.

Responsibilities
1. Prospect and develop new opportunities via telemarketing, direct mail, and client visits to qualify prospects.
2. Build a portfolio of accounts through targeted business development and your existing network.
3. Cold call and schedule meetings with prospects and established clients, providing tailored consultative services, including upselling.
4. Promote Nippon products and services through presentations and demonstrations.
5. Collaborate with the UK sales team to plan strategies and activities to increase profitability.
6. Serve as the initial contact for customer inquiries, escalations, and queries.
7. Submit regular reports on budgets, pipelines, and activities using tools like Salesforce.
8. Identify service improvements to encourage customer loyalty and business development.
9. Create SOPs in collaboration with operational departments for seamless account integration.
10. Manage client bases in your nominated areas, resolving operational and financial issues proactively.
Candidate Profile
* Experienced in Air/Ocean/Road/Logistics sales.
* Commercially minded with a tenacious attitude and drive to succeed.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and understanding client needs.
* Excellent communication, persuasion, and influencing skills.
* Ability to win business based on service quality, not just price.
* Capable of developing proposals and costing schedules to outperform competitors.
* Entrepreneurial mindset to adapt sales strategies and seize opportunities.
* Proven track record in freight forwarding/logistics field sales.
* Degree level education preferred.
