Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef or strong Second Chef to join a specialist conference venue. The role involves preparing high-quality meals for a variety of guests, with a strong emphasis on traditional, wholesome cooking and freshly baked items.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Head Chef/Catering Manager in day-to-day kitchen operations.
2. Prepare a variety of high-quality meals for both large and small groups.
3. Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
4. Manage kitchen inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
5. Train and supervise junior kitchen staff.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Second Chef in a similar environment.
2. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards.
3. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
