Your New Company:
Our client is a specialist civil engineering contractor serving local and transport authorities across the North West of England.
Your new role:
1. Oversee the recruitment and selection of apprentice intakes aligned with the annual college year.
2. Build and maintain relationships with colleges and educational institutions to ensure apprentices meet necessary learning outcomes.
3. Design and deliver on-site skills training programs tailored to the requirements of the apprenticeships, monitoring progress and maintaining accurate training logs to meet apprenticeship standards.
4. Develop and lead an "offline" training program that apprentices can complete on active sites.
5. Collaborate with the Senior People & Skills Manager and the Human Resources Manager to coordinate training for all operatives.
6. Create high-quality training tools for Company plant types, ensuring they meet industry standards for both practical and theoretical certification schemes.
7. Track and manage existing training certifications, scheduling training sessions to ensure certifications are renewed before expiration.
8. Develop and deliver structured, engaging study programs that meet industry standards and are completed in a timely manner.
9. Communicate regularly with the Operations Director, Business Centre Managers, and Works Managers to keep them updated on training progress and needs.
What you will need to succeed:
1. Extensive experience in Civil Engineering
2. Strong communication skills
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office
4. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage workload independently
5. Valid CSCS Card
