Operational Learning and Development Manager
The post holder is responsible for the delivery of an Operational Learning and Development Strategy for Full time Operations employees, including the full management responsibility for the industry leading Showsec Management Development Programme.
What you will be doing
* Primary responsibility of our bespoke Management Development Programme, including a structured implementation process and mentoring and coordinated coaching of associates, to help achieve academic goals and competence in the workplace
* Develop professional relationships with external providers to enable the business to negotiate and secure product/courses in relation to continual development of the programme and the programme associates
* Harvest contemporary material in the field of leadership and Crowd Safety to assist in creating new modular training for the management development programme and continual development of all operational managers within the business
* Review, design, develop and deliver, additional levels of operational management improvement to assist with succession planning, retention and engagement in line with the business strategic objectives
* Tracking expiries and booking of courses for operational employees that sits outside the structured Management Development Programme to ensure the correct regulatory licences/training are in place
* Responsibility for the management of the budget for operational development training and other expenditure
* Keeping up to date with relevant changes in legislation, best practice, industry developments and changes and company product development and ensuring these are communicated to our operational workforce through the delivery of training content and CPD sessions and webinars
* Representing Showsec at appropriate industry forums and implementing change as appropriate due to industry developments
* Any other duties commensurate with the post

What we need from you
* Recognised training or teaching qualification at level 4 or higher (DET, DTLLS, Cert-Ed, PGCE, SWBL)
* Proven experience as a Learning and Development Manager
* Proven experience in the design and delivery of management and leadership programmes at Levels 4 and above
* Strong communication and negotiation skills with proven ability to build excellent working relationships with colleagues both internally and externally
* Proven experience in budgetary management
* Practical experience in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems
* Full driving licence to undertake site visits to understand the operational product and tailor training accordingly
