Job Responsibility
Purpose of Role: To manage and develop profitable sales of the Company’s portfolio in the assigned region through appointed accounts and to seek and make recommendations on potential new business opportunities within the region. The geographic location of the main accounts will be Scotland with some additional accounts based in the North of England. There will also be specific accounts appointed relevant to the past-experience of the candidate. This is an ideal role for a relatively new and enthusiastic entrant to the Wine and Spirits industry to develop their skills and knowledge.
Main Responsibilities:
1. To manage existing business for the company in assigned accounts including:
1. Contributing to the development of (when required) and thereafter executing promotional sales and marketing strategies.
2. Monitoring performance against budgets.
3. Reviewing and preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly reports.
4. Managing individual promotional budgets.
2. To actively seek and develop new business opportunities for the company.
3. Keep informed of UK Sales strategies.
4. Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date market, commercial and customer records.
5. Assist in specific project work regarding regional strategies.
6. Assist in the gathering of trade intelligence and market data such as occasional price audits in the multiple retail sector as well as competitor activity and other data and information pertinent to the role and the UK brand strategies.
7. Manage and own your professional development in order to achieve your work objectives and your career and personal goals.
Scope of Role:
The Sales Executive role has a degree of autonomy on the day-to-day operation of the assigned account base. The Executive will be required to contribute to UK Sales meetings and liaise as required with Channel Marketing regarding the execution of promotions and campaigns. The role will encompass accounts in off premise.
Working Conditions:
This role does require extensive travel within the UK, mainly Scotland, and the jobholder will be required to stay away from home on occasions. You will be required to attend trade shows and other promotional activities on behalf of the Company as required, on occasion involving weekend work. You will be required to work additional hours as necessitated by the needs of the business.
Job Qualification
Personal Profile:
1. Good interpersonal, communication & presentation skills.
2. Good influencing skills.
3. PC proficient with particular emphasis on Excel and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. HND/HNC or equivalent, preferably in a business-related topic.
2. At least 2 years proven experience of working in a sales environment.
3. Preferably experience in working in the Wine and Spirits sector.
4. A confident personality with the ability to use their initiative to find new opportunities for IBHL brands.
5. The office location would be Airdrie.
6. A full, clean driving licence is required.
