An intro to the IT Service Engineer role…
You will be playing a crucial role in being the front line and face of the organisation dealing with its clients.
This is an ideal position for someone looking to kick start their career within IT support, whether you have graduated with an IT degree or have some exposure to an IT support role.
You will be joining a small team with a huge amount of knowledge which will give you all the tools you need to grow and develop your IT career!
Your responsibilities will include…
* Logging tickets using ITSM platform
* Provide 1st line support and initial troubleshooting where possible. Capture all information and escalate where necessary
* Answering phone calls from end users in a polite and professional way
* Processing of basic requests such as new joiner, movers, and leavers
* Assisting with asset management, imaging, and deployment of new hardware.
* Reviewing and populating IT 'knowledge base' with solutions to problems.
* Supporting users across all business locations.
* Ensuring SLAs are met at all times
* Ensuring excellent customer service is always provided.
* Working with vendors on supporting tickets and procurement
What you’ve got…
* We are looking for someone with an approachable, helpful, and flexible attitude, who is self-motivated and enthusiastic to learn and grow in this role.
* You have some experience in IT Support or hold have studied IT in college or university
* Knowledge and experience of Windows 10/11
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to maintain professional standards
* A team-player, and able to work under own initiative
* Ability to work to deadlines, and plan and prioritise own time
* Methodical and process-driven, with high attention to detail
