Job Summary

The Director of Higher Education sales implements selling strategies for defined workflow and student success solutions within the sector (colleges, universities, multi-campus learning institutions, ect.). Solution areas include digital self-service capabilities, organizational workflow systems, automated forms, performance analytics, Al-powered student engagement chatbots and more.
Essential Job Functions
1. Cultivate existing relationships and build new ones (new logo sales) with a "hunter" mentality.
2. Demonstrate exceptional understanding of the higher Education marketplace and competitor offerings to drive the company's growth strategy and investments.
3. Identify profitable opportunities and develop plans to strategically engage with clients.
4. Full cycle sales and pipeline building: prospect targeting, engagement, proposal development, negotiation, closing, and post-closing participation in ongoing account management and optimization actives.
5. Significantly grow the company presence and revenues in the higher Education domain.
6. Work closely with Industry Business unit leads to work on named accounts strategies, agree on target logos, and pursue to deliver high value and high growth new logos.
7. Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy to hit revenue targets.
8. Execute go-to-market plans via targeted campaigns and other sales channels including influencers, conference attendance, industry events, etc.
9. Propose, submit and handle proposals with full ownership and accountability for the oppeortunity. Work closely with the sales enablement teams to ensure high quality of proposals.
10. Contribute to and shape the company's sales and client services solutions and capabilities relevant to local market needs and competitive dynamics.
11. Interact with senior leaders at each client and within the company.
Required Education, Skills and Experience
12. Bachelors degree and more than ten years of related IT consulting and solutions sales experience in the Higher Education sector.
13. Exceptional ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization.
14. Proven quota track record.
15. Established, current relationships with C-Suite decision-makers in higher Education sector.
16. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
17. Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
18. Familiarity with CRM practices along with the ability to build productive business and professional relationships.
19. Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
20. Working knowledge and understanding of the basic principles, theories, concepts, and practices in the applicable area of engineering/technical specialization.
21. Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method.
22. Acute attention to detail.
23. Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects.
24. Commitment to excellence and high standards.
25. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
26. Proficient on MS Office products,
27. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
28. Excellent judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
29. Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
30. Experience in RFP process and have strategized winning propositions.
31. 3+ years of demonstrable sales in Higher Education and or State or Local Government, 5+ years strongly preferred.
