Who You Are:
The Corporate HR Generalist is a vital member of the People Team, with a hyper-focus on HR operations, compliance, and employee relations. This role is responsible for fostering a positive organizational culture, managing key HR functions, and enhancing employee engagement. The Corporate HR Generalist will work closely with various departments to implement HR strategies, ensure compliance, and support seamless operational and cultural processes.
What You'll Do:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
HR Operations & Compliance
* Ensure HR processes, policies, and documentation aligns with regulatory standards and company policies.
* Maintain accurate HR data including reporting, and system integrity (Salesforce, 15Five, iCIMS, HRCLOUD, HIRELOGIC, etc.); conducting audits as required.
* Lead initiatives to uphold compliance with employment laws across multiple states.
* Oversee and update employee handbook, policies, and compliance training programs.
* Actively support information on the HUB.
Employee Relations & Engagement
* Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.
* Implement and support employee relations policies, performance improvement plans, and grievance processes.
* Conduct employee exit interviews and analyze feedback for organizational improvement.
* Drive cultural initiatives, engagement programs, and employee surveys (e.g., eNPS).
* Manage employee feedback channels & employee social media (suggestion boxes, review and update sites like Glassdoor, Comparably).
Talent Development & Performance Management
* Oversee and execute successful mentor and internship programs to support employee growth.
* Provide guidance on performance management, including corrective actions, reviews, and OKR alignment.
* Act as SME for 15Five, ensuring effective use and consistent reporting with action planning.
* Partner and provide support with Learning & Development on employee training initiatives.
* Deliver training on functions of performance management, compliance, cybersecurity, corporate initiatives, systems, and skills development.
HRIS & Data Management
* Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of employee data into multiple systems (new hires, position changes, LOA etc.).
* Conduct regular audits to uphold data integrity and compliance.
* Generate reports and analyze HR metrics to support leadership decision-making.
* Ability to adopt to new HR technologies for efficiency.
Recruiting & Onboarding
* Assist in new hire onboarding, orientation, and pre-employment processes.
* Partner with Recruiting Services to enhance hiring processes.
* Accurately manage document storage in personnel files. Conduct audits on a consistent basis.
Company Programs & Initiatives
* Assist in the planning and execution of company events, employee appreciation initiatives, and community engagement in NJ and Florida, including Stateside and Partnered Services employees.
* Support ExtensisHR Giveback Program, DEI initiatives, and Fundations-driven projects.
HR Support
* Act as a business partner to managers, providing guidance on HR matters and case management workflows.
* Ensure seamless job description management, updates, and compliance.
* Partner with DBL and LOA Management vendors to enhance employee experience across multiple states.
* Support LOA employee management; providing employee consultation and guidance; segway into ownership of the program.
* Provide support with ADA inquiries, reviews, as well as administrative management.
* Support the management of the People inbox.
What You Bring:
* Strong desire for a career in Human Resources.
* 2-3 years of experience as an HR Specialist/Generalist or related HR role.
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
* Certification in Human Resources (e.g., aPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) preferred.
* Strong understanding of labor laws, equal employment opportunity (EEO) laws, and workplace safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).
* Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to human resources.
* Required focus in employee relations, training development and delivery, general HR core competencies.
* Proficient in HR Software (HRIS, HireLogic etc.) and Microsoft Suite to include intermediate skills in Outlook, MS Teams, MS Forms, MS Excel and SharePoint.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees at all levels.
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information using discretion and confidentiality.
* Strong sense of ethics and integrity in decision-making.
* Familiarity with compensation, payroll, employee benefits and employee rewards systems.
* Ability to walk, climb, sit, stand and lift 20+ lbs.
