Job title: Hotel Sous Chef
Work 4 days, have 3 days off. Salary up to 38,000 GBP. Located in Thorpeness, Suffolk.
Accommodation provided, 71 GBP per week. Situated on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, this hotel offers modern rooms with picturesque views.
Key responsibilities:
* Deputise for the Head Chef
* Ensure chefs are familiar with daily requirements
* Maintain fair discipline and treat staff with courtesy
* Ensure timetables, leave rosters, and attendance registers are up-to-date
* Adhere to hygiene regulations
* Report and follow up on maintenance issues
* Ensure smooth communication between restaurant and kitchen
* Check dishes for quality, quantity, presentation, and temperature
* Provide on-the-job training and attend seminars as directed
Essential criteria:
* Experience working in a hotel to a high standard using fresh ingredients
* Ability to work varied shifts on a rota
* Passion for food and mature manner
* Team player with ability to work under pressure
* Rosette experience advantageous
