I am currently working for a not-for-profit company, which was set up by the UK Government, to recruit 2 x Licensing Sales Executives.
They are a collective management organisation for published materials, and they exist to support knowledge sharing, protect a company, and champion the creative ecosystem. Their revenue is distributed to their member organisations, who pay royalties directly to copyright owners.
Your new role
The role is responsible for organising and managing your own licensing sales executive portfolio, carrying out daily tasks accurately and efficiently to meet the company objectives whilst upholding the organisation’s values in all interactions. The purpose of this role is to guide clients to get the proper licence solution to help simplify copyright clearance. The role of the LSE is to generate revenue from selling licences; this helps to ensure artists, publishers and authors are paid fairly for their work being used. The knowledge gained from client feedback is fed back to the broader business, which will help increase the collective understanding of the client’s needs, which in turn allows the organisation to develop the right products and licences.
Main responsibilities:
1. Contact unlicensed businesses via email and telephone
2. Majority of leads provided by the Lead Data Administrator
3. Contact decision-makers via email and telephone
4. Conducting fact-finding calls to understand how a broad range of businesses work
5. Ensuring clients understand the products, services, and procedures, logging all communication with clients on our CRM system.
6. Follow the sales process to match customer needs to the features and benefits of a Licence
7. Forecasting and logging information on Salesforce
8. Create your own leads through research into unlicensed companies
9. Work with a Customer Success Team to establish possible inside sales opportunities
10. Screening leads to establishing key decision makers.
11. Any ad hoc tasks as reasonably required
What you'll need to succeed
1. Minimum of 2 years of proven B2B experience within a professional sales environment
2. Preferably telesales
3. Track record in an office-based sales role
4. Proactive and self-motivated attitude towards achieving sales targets
5. Outgoing personality with strong organisational skills
6. Computer-literate
7. Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
8. Industry experience is not required as full training is provided, but enthusiasm, target focus, and a consultative selling style is needed.
9. Ability to make and undertake video calls via Teams, Zoom or any other video meeting
10. Applications approved by IT
