Here at BaxterStorey We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Chef to work one of Oxford's colleges.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspirational and enthusiastic Head Chef to make a name for themselves within the food service industry.

1. Salary - £35,000 per annum
2. Contract: Full-Time/ Permanent
3. Hours 40 per week plus overtime shifts based on weekly rota
4. 28 Days holiday inclusive of bank holidays

Job Description
This is a full-time role for a Head Chef with passion for culinary development of fine dining cookery and service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who can inspire and lead our great team and share their wealth of experience.
WHAT WILL KEEP YOU BUSY:
8. Ensure that the location achieves, as a minimum, the financial targets agreed with the client in line with the budget
9. Monitor the work of all the staff and carry out appraisals, recognise training needs and potential as appropriate
10. Hold team meetings on a regular basis to communicate targets, standards required and company and client information
11. Work with your General Manager to prepare budgets; achieve and maintain the food cost in accordance with the budget
12. Develop and evolve all client’s services at location, ensuring regular adjustments and improvements are both recommended and implemented
Qualifications

15. Fresh ideas for hospitality and weekly lunch menus
16. Draw satisfaction from managing, training and supporting a team
17. Provide a professional catering service, ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are met
18. Previous experience in a Head Chef role required
19. Strong understanding of report writing and financial management.
20. Excellent supervisory and communication skills
21. Good delegation and influencing skills
22. Able to demonstrate your analytical approach to problem solving
23. Ability to display a real passion for food and customer service
24. Hands on approach and 'Can do' attitude are crucial
