Join us in unleashing the potential of our new data lakehouse within ORR and beyond Managing a diverse and friendly team of developers, your data engineering expertise will put you at the forefront of our exciting plans for teams across ORR to get the most out of their data. Working in collaboration with policy leads, data owners and external data suppliers, you will re-define how we manage data and how we use it to make decisions that have a real impact on the running of Britain’s railways. Leading projects with a range of stakeholders across ORR and the rail industry, you will drive through key deliverables from our data strategy to streamline and automate our data processes. You will also be a part of the I&A management team with responsibility for ensuring data is stored and managed securely in our new data lakehouse. You will work collaboratively with counterparts across our regulated industries and have the opportunity to represent ORR on cross-government data networks. This job provides you with the opportunity to not only learn about the breadth and depth of work involved in a regulatory environment but also how we combine that with our role as publisher of official statistics on rail.
