As part of this journey, we're expanding our data engineering capabilities within the Data Team. Here's taste of what you'll be doing: Build and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines within Databricks in accordance with best practice. Evolve and improve these pipelines as requirements change and as new technologies become available. Build towards and maintain an enterprise data model within Databricks. Integrate new sources into the data platform through the use of batch and streaming processes, all the while adhering to committed SLAs. Create and maintain documentation of data pipelines and associated systems, and adhere to the security and monitoring processes around data. Ensure data quality and reliability processes are effective and adhered to, ensuring trust in the data. Help maintain existing non-Databricks data pipelines, including monitoring and troubleshooting. Are we the perfect match? 1 years' experience working as a Data Engineer with strong Python (incl. decorators, context managers and comprehensions) and SQL skills. Familiarity with linux-based tools, data warehousing concepts and database design. Experience with data extraction, transformation, cleansing and aggregation tasks. Exposure to Big Data concepts, Databricks or Spark, or a strong willingness to learn. Able to write clean, reusable, production-grade code for data pipelines, making recommendations for design based on business requirements. Proactive, self-motivated and open to learning new technologies. Energy sector experience is a bonus. Here's what else you need to know: Role may close early due to high applications.
