Junior Sous Chef required for a restaurant between Newcastle and Hexham. This restaurant serves Mediterranean dishes. The position offers £15 per hour on a 40-hour full-time permanent contract, with the opportunity to advance to a Senior Sous Chef role within the next 3-6 months. Live-in accommodation is available. The focus is on fresh food and pasta-style dishes.
The Role:
We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef who can assist the Head Chef in running a small kitchen. You will manage the kitchen and the pass. This role will evolve into a Senior Sous Chef role within the next 3-6 months. You will ensure that kitchen prep is completed and ready for service, cook during service, and ensure that plates leave the pass correctly. This role will include all standard Junior Sous Chef duties.
Experience:
We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef with experience in a fresh food kitchen, capable of working independently or as part of a small team. A background in fresh food is essential.
Compensation:
£15 per hour
40-hour contract - Full-time permanent role
