Job description:
Sous Chef – Award Winning – Gastro Pub – £40k – Maidenhead, Berkshire
Our client is looking for an experienced sous chef to this fantastic team in Berkshire.
You will be reporting to the site head chef, site GM and executive chef and will be required to to deputise the kitchen head chef in their duties to co-ordinate, support
and control the food activities of the kitchen.
Leading the kitchen during the head chef’s absence,
supervising the junior kitchen staff and processes to ensure smooth operations. Oversee day-to-day
running of the whole kitchen operation.

Suitable candidates will present the following qualities
3. Excellent experience at 1/2 rosette level
4. Highly experienced and trained in supporting the Head chef in a similar establishment
5. Effective communication is key for this role
6. Sound knowledge of traditional British cuisine and be able to recognise and acknowledge basic and advanced kitchen procedures, such as establishing preparation requirements for the day.
7. Expected to uphold leadership on shift, ensuring the department is prepared and operating accordingly.
8. Have the ability to contribute to specials on the menu to the standard of the establishment.
You will also be required and expected to support the team with progression and development, providing coaching and training for the junior kitchen staff.
