Sushi Preparation
A bit about what you will do...
Expertly prepare and present various sushi dishes, including nigiri, maki, sashimi, and specialty rolls, ensuring adherence to our established recipes and quality standards.
Ingredient Management
Oversee the selection, storage, and handling of all sushi-related ingredients, maintaining the highest standards of freshness and quality.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with the culinary team to coordinate sushi production with other kitchen activities, ensuring timely and efficient service during peak hours.
Training And Mentorship
Provide guidance and training to junior sushi chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Menu Development
Collaborate with the executive chef in developing and refining sushi menu items, contributing innovative ideas that align with our brand's culinary vision.
More About You...
* A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sushi Chef in a fine dining.
* Proficient in traditional Japanese sushi techniques, with a strong understanding of ingredient pairings and flavour profiles.
* Adopt a flexible approach to assist in different areas of the kitchen as needs indicate.
* Strong attention to detail.
* You value being part of a team and supporting your colleagues.
* Most of all, you will have an approachable, positive, and proactive manner.
* 5-star hotel experience in a similar role a real advantage.
