What you'll be doing:
The Royal Armouries & New Dock Hall is the largest dedicated conference, events and exhibition space in Leeds. Our venue offers world-class facilities for high-profile conferences, conventions, exhibitions, awards dinners, and corporate events for up to 2,500 delegates, hosting more than 380 national and international events every year.
We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and outgoing Sales Executive to join our Sales team. As a Sales Executive, you'll play a key role in our team, handling customer requests and enquiries promptly and efficiently. You'll be responsible for approaching every sales opportunity with a positive attitude to maximize sales and revenue to meet the venue's sales objectives while delivering outstanding service to our valued customers and clients.

More about the role:
* Proactively process enquiries for a number of events and actively work as part of the sales team to increase and enhance revenues achieving overall targets.
* Conduct reactive sales activities including responding to telephone and e-mail enquiries.
* Proactively sell the facilities by various techniques, always aiming to meet customer needs and exceed customer expectations.
* Consistently ensure the highest standards of accurate and timely customer, staff, and management information.
* Develop client, venue, and internal relationships through knowledgeable and effective enquiry handling.
* Ensure a high level of conversion of bookings to achieve and exceed targets set.
* Work with event planners effectively to provide a seamless handover for final event details.
Who you are:
* Possess sales or event planning experience within the UK conference and events industry.
* Be able to work on your own initiative and be a confident decision maker.
* Have a generally outgoing personality and enjoy social interaction.
* Have excellent communication skills, both verbally on the phone and in person, and in writing.
* Be self-motivated and maintain focus in the achievement of sales targets.
* Demonstrate a thorough approach to work.
* Be competent in Microsoft Office and have a good understanding of database management.
* Be confident and able to be a team player.
* Ability to inspire customer trust and confidence.
* Ability to multi-task, think fast, and deliver solutions to customer requirements.
* Have a passion for events and food.
* Experience using Delphi / Salesforce would be advantageous.
