Objective of the Role
Reporting to the Head Chef, the Junior Sous Chef plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen and ensuring excellent food production.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Assist in overseeing kitchen operations and food preparation.
* Lead by example in maintaining high-quality food production.
* Support and mentor our skilled and ambitious culinary team.
* Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen management.
* Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
* Contribute to the success of our conference and event catering.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a hotel or similar setting.
* Passion for delivering high-quality food and culinary excellence.
* Qualification in culinary arts or a similar field is desirable but not essential.
* Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
* Strong teamwork skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to contribute to the successful operations of the kitchen.
* Strong communication and leadership potential.
