Learning & Development Manager £55,000 - £60,000 per annum plus performance bonus & company car Derby Join a leading training academy as a L&D Manager and lead a dynamic team in a state-of-the-art facility. Please be aware this role does require travel to London 1-2 days a week with business needs but travel costs are covered. Day-to-day of the role: Line manage the training team to ensure consistent, effective, and professional delivery of all training courses. Oversee the Support Team, promoting a collaborative relationship between multiple team locations. Ensure adherence to working practices and protocols within the training team. Manage course scheduling to meet expected demands and support management teams in achieving licensing status requirements. Maintain accurate records of trainer utilisation and course delivery. Develop and implement personal development plans for all direct reports, providing regular coaching, support, and feedback. Ensure consistency in approach through regular observations, feedback mechanisms, and meetings. Lead special projects as required and attend stakeholder meetings to stay updated with industry developments. Organise regular meetings with trainers to share and update best practices. Develop quarterly scheduling planning processes for training calendar sign-off. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong coaching and people management skills. Learning & development experience within an industry setting. Excellent communication skills. Adaptable being able to respond quickly to change Strong abilities in planning, organisation, and prioritisation. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
