Building on the success of our highly acclaimed Nela Amsterdam, we’re bringing this much-loved concept to London—reimagined for a city that thrives on innovation and diversity.
This stunning Restaurant will be Located in The Whiteley, one of London’s most iconic developments following its £1 billion restoration. Nela will blend a proven concept from our celebrated Amsterdam restaurant with a fresh, uniquely London perspective – Opening 2025

We are looking for in a Sous Chef
You will be an ambitious Sous Chef and will play a crucial role in leading the kitchen, Alongside the Head Chef and the Chef owners Hari & Ori. This position requires a unique blend of culinary expertise and exceptional leadership skills, ensuring that both the kitchen experience and food meet Nela’s high standards.
Sous Chef – Key Responsibilities
* Lead and inspire the kitchen team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning.
* Work closely with the Head Chef and Chef Owners to ensure a seamless, high-quality dining experience.
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, driving efficiency, consistency, and high standards.
* Maintain Nela’s commitment to food quality, presentation, and sustainability.
* Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
* Monitor financial performance, managing budgets and costs without compromising quality.
* Play a key role in shaping the culture and success of Nela London’s opening and beyond.
To Thrive in This Role, You’ll Need:
* A background as a Sous Chef or similar, with strong culinary skills
* Experience in live-fire cooking would be a big bonus and/or modern cuisine and cooking techniques
* Proven leadership experience in a high-end A la Carte restaurant, demonstrating an ability to manage teams of 30 plus
* Pre-opening experience and advantage
* A passion for hospitality and quality food
* A hands-on, problem-solving approach, thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
* Be located in the UK and have Full Work rights
