Job Description About the Role To help us do this essential work, we are looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager, who will implement recruiting strategies to identify creative candidates for The New York Times. This role is a 6-month fixed-term contract and hybrid position based in London, with regular attendance in the office each week per your departmental guidance. Main Responsibilities: - Maintain full-cycle and high volume recruiting - Source, identify and interview high potential candidates - Provide guidance and insight to management to help attract, retain and develop top talent - Is a trusted and credible partner who anticipates needs and proactively recommends solutions - Lead and implement the recruiting process by gaining an understanding of client needs and their goals - Advise hiring partners on our DEI strategies, ensuring they're implemented and followed - Cultivate relationships with senior leadership to build trust and support alignment on recruiting strategies - Develop and maintain an ongoing pool of candidates through strategic sourcing and research with a purposeful eye on diversity of candidate pools; including identifying relationships with external pipeline organizations - Gains a deep understanding of how The New York Times works and scan for trends internally and externally in the marketplace which affect pools - Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence (https://www.nytco.com/company/mission-and-values/) and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world. - This role reports to the Director Talent Acquisition, International Basic Qualifications: - Experience working in high-volume and full-cycle recruitment - Recruiting experience in a corporate environment across multiple departments - Experience with an (ATS) applicant tracking system - Experience recruiting across multiple countries and cultural understanding - Proficiency in Google Suite or comparable platform Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of international employment laws and regulations - A commitment to diversifying teams and leading equitable hiring practices - Exceptional client service & relationship management skills and ability to collaborate with a range of different styles - Ability to work on numerous within multiple timezones The New York Times is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce, one that reflects the varied global community we serve.
