You will join our Business Intelligence function and enjoy an impactful role within data management across the organisation; responsible for managing and delivering high-quality data, information, and knowledge.
Key areas of focus include:
1. Delivering technical data capabilities to support the centralised Business Intelligence team; through reporting, analytics and insights
2. Developing ETL processes, operational ERP/CRM, and alternative data sources
3. Driving adherence to data quality requirements across the platform
4. Enabling a significant self-serve reporting capability
5. Developing the data dictionary and model, and delivering technology that improves information search and knowledge transfer
6. Supporting IT Services with requirements for data governance, security, retention and back-up
We are now working in a hybrid way, with a mix of remote and office working. You will bring:
1. Experience of developing large and complex data systems; including capturing, storing, and processing data
2. Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL workflows
3. Strong programming skills in Python and/or SQL
4. Experience using Microsoft technologies; such as cloud or on-premise (including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Power Bi, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, SSIS, SSRS and/or SSAS)
5. Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering solutions
6. Experience of optimising data queries to ensure optimal performance
7. Implementation of Data Quality and Data Governance processes
8. Familiarity with data warehousing and data modelling concepts
9. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment
Desirable skills:
1. Working knowledge with Microsoft D365 Data (Dataverse)
2. Knowledge of Spark
