The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Drama Teacher to join our creative and vibrant Performing Arts department from September 2025. As a Drama Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and guide students in their exploration of theatre, performance, and dramatic techniques. You will teach a range of abilities, from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, and will play a key role in developing students' creative talents both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver high-quality, engaging, and challenging Drama lessons to students of varying abilities.
2. Foster a passion for theatre and the arts, encouraging students to participate in extracurricular performances and activities.
3. Plan and implement an inspiring curriculum that supports student growth and achievement in Drama.
4. Assess, monitor, and track students' progress and provide feedback to support their development.
5. Contribute to the school's wider cultural and creative community, including organising school productions and drama events.
6. Collaborate effectively with colleagues in the Performing Arts team and the wider school community.
About You:
1. A qualified Drama Teacher with a passion for the performing arts and student development.
2. Experience teaching Drama at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 experience is desirable but not essential).
3. A creative, enthusiastic, and energetic approach to teaching and learning.
4. Strong communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
5. A commitment to creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
6. A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities.
