Service Desk Analyst (2nd line)
Location: Birmingham (Office-based)
Tired of being stuck in a role with no real progression?
Here’s your chance to break out of the box. We’re looking for a strong second-line Service Desk Analyst who wants to get hands-on with infrastructure while still having the support of a close-knit, in-office team.
You’ll be working as part of a five-person UK team, backed by an additional support team in India. The culture is solid – this is the best the team has been in a long time, and we’re looking for someone who can slot right in and make an impact.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Providing second-line support, troubleshooting technical issues, and working closely with the infrastructure team.
* Getting hands-on with servers, networking, Active Directory, and Azure.
* Handling service desk tickets, configuring devices, and maintaining systems.
* Working with a company that actually invests in your development – if you want certifications, training, or to take on bigger projects, we’ve got you covered.
What You’ll Need:
* Strong second-line experience – you need to have worked with servers (not just user admin).
* Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and Azure.
* A good grasp of networking.
* A willingness to get stuck in and learn – we can teach you more infrastructure, but you need to bring the curiosity.
* No need to be an extrovert, but you’ll be in the office full-time, so teamwork and communication skills are key.
Why Join?
* Guaranteed annual pay increases (minimum 2%).
* Two bonuses a year based on achievable goals.
* Fully funded training and certifications once you pass probation.
* Optional overtime that can add £3,000+ to your salary.
* A supportive team environment where you’ll be surrounded by experienced colleagues who can help you grow.
Important: No sponsorship is available for this role, and you must be based in the UK with the ability to commute to the Birmingham office five days a week.
If you’re an experienced second-line engineer looking for a role with more exposure to infrastructure and real career progression, apply now.
