The Vacancy The IT Training Manager will spearhead the IT Training Team, ensuring the delivery of engaging and effective training programmes across the firm's IT systems. The role involves strategic management of training initiatives, overseeing the development of training resources, and collaboration with departments to facilitate knowledge transfer and skills enhancement among staff. The IT training team supports colleagues from across the firm and the IT Training Manager has a critical role of leading the IT Training Team and collaborating with colleagues to ensure that training programmes remain aligned. This role is to provide maternity cover where there will be a handover period with the existing IT Training Manager, as well as support on their return. Responsibilities To provide leadership and performance management to team members in the pursuit of service excellence. To provide team planning and direction to ensure operational resourcing for business-as-usual activities and upskilling weeks. To review and provide guidance in the design of integrated training programmes to meet the development needs of colleagues across the firm whilst promoting adherence to firm policies and guidance. To be able to manage end-to-end programme planning which includes design, development and delivery of multi-location rollouts to support updated or new technology. To develop cost-effective, innovative training solutions across the firm. To work with leaders across the firm when reviewing integrated training programmes to meet the development needs of staff at all levels in all roles. To oversee and maintain processes as well as monitor administrative tasks such as dealing with course bookings and requests, updating training attendance records and reporting. Proactively manage own time and provide direction, mentoring and support to the training team as appropriate. Monitor, evaluate and review the quality and effectiveness of training. Provide assistance to other IT Leaders in resolving queries. Support change management and promote continual service improvement. To review the design of courses and deliver training courses or programmes when time allows. Key Skills & Experience Achievement of an appropriate professional qualification(s) e.g. MOS Master Instructor, TAP, IITT membership or significant experience of delivering IT training in a professional environment. Proven experience in leading a team including providing direction, performance management and individual development. Significant experience developing and delivering training programmes and resources across a range of mediums. Demonstrable experience in leveraging new and innovative approaches to training. Demonstrable experience in developing and delivering training and support appropriate to different audiences (from junior to executive levels). Previous experience of working at an influencing level within IT. Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to deal with partners, fee earners and clients at all levels. Excellent communication, prioritisation, organisational and administrative skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team; a willingness to create and support the objectives for the training team and enhance its reputation within the firm.
