We are looking for a new person to join our growing practice as an ATT.
We are a growing practice that opened in November 2022 and currently have five farm vets, three office staff, and a vet tech. We have a friendly and experienced team priding ourselves on delivering a high standard of care with professionalism. You will join the team as a valued member, to fill a vacancy and help meet the increasing demand for our services.
The ideal candidate will have experience delivering services on farm, and formal training will be provided and funded where required. Once trained, you will be responsible for performing TB testing, submitting tests, and maintaining all required equipment. When not on farm, you will be in the office getting involved in all aspects of running the practice, including organizing the vet diaries, taking drug orders, and booking tests and lab work. You will also develop responsibilities for our audits required for us to deliver these services.
This is a permanent position with an excellent salary, which will be dependent upon experience. As a perk of the job, a twin cab pickup truck with a towbar will be provided if desired, which can be used for personal use, subject to normal tax law.
More about you
* A full driving license
* 3 GCSEs, to include English, Maths, and Science
* At least 6 months’ cattle handling experience
* Good communication and IT skills
You will also need to be 18 years of age or over at the time that you start the position, in line with the government requirements for TB testers.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a confident, positive attitude, have a keen eye for detail alongside empathy for the stress that TB testing places on clients, and discretion to maintain our strong client-focused relations. Knowledge and understanding of the current and ongoing fight to eradicate TB would be advantageous.
Working hours
Average of 40 hours per week, split into 10 days over a fortnight, to fit around the TB testing schedule. You will alternate between “Week 1”, working Monday to Saturday, and “Week 2”, working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Part-time options, for example, two- or four-day weeks, will be considered pro-rata. Please reach out to discuss these options; as a caring employer, we would welcome the discussion with you.
You will need to work flexibly, with some early starts, followed by early finishes once all test paperwork has been submitted.
In addition to a competitive salary, you will benefit from:
