Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 + Generous Commission!

Wilmington Events, part of Wilmington plc, is excited to welcome a new Delegate Sales Executive to our growing events team. This role is integral to backfilling our team as we expand, and we’re looking for someone who’s excited to contribute to our success.
If you’re experienced in B2B delegate or table sales and enjoy the challenge of prospecting cold leads and maintaining relationships, this is your chance to join an award-winning events team that is scaling up.
Job Purpose, Tasks, and Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be selling tickets for conferences, promoting awards programs to potential entrants, and selling awards tables to shortlisted finalists.
You may also work on ad-hoc VIP campaigns for custom events for sponsors.
You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of leading brands, including the International Compliance Association and Axco.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Speaking with senior decision-makers across financial services, insurance, and other highly regulated sectors.
* Making approximately 60 outbound calls per day, targeting both UK and international clients.
* Managing relationships with repeat customers, as well as prospecting for new business.
* Contributing to a fast-paced and growing team within the Governance, Risk and Compliance sector.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* Experience in a similar B2B sales environment.
* Delegate or table sales experience.
* Strong telephone-based sales experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
It would be great if you also have:
* Experience using sales CRM systems like Salesforce or MS Dynamics.
* Previous experience in a telephone-based role would be beneficial but not essential.
