Role Overview:
As a Data Engineer at Infinity Call Tracking, you will work on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data architectures and pipelines to support our growing data needs. This role requires hands-on experience in data warehouse projects and a strong understanding of various aspects of data management, including data governance, data integration, and data security.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines for handling large volumes of data.
2. Lead and contribute to data warehouse projects, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval processes that meet business needs.
3. Collaborate with the data science and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of data solutions into operational workflows.
4. Implement and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure accurate and timely data flows across systems.
5. Work on data modelling, ensuring the data structure supports our analytics and reporting requirements.
6. Contribute to data management practices, including data governance, data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
7. Ensure the integrity and availability of data by implementing strong data monitoring and alerting systems.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights and solutions.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial data engineer or in a similar commercial role.
3. Skills:
* Hands-on experience with data warehouse technologies (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake).
* Proficiency in SQL and data modelling for optimising database performance.
* Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, dbt).
* Knowledge of data management practices, including data governance, security, and compliance.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
* Solid programming skills in Python or another relevant language for data processing.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
1. Desirable Skills:
* Experience with data lakes and data stream processing.
* Familiarity with data visualisation tools.
* Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration tools.
