We are seeking an E xperienced Sous Chef to join us on a permanent contract for our Community- owned pub to work with our established chef.
We are situated in the beautiful Wye Valley in a national CAMRA award winning pub that was saved by its community with a huge amount of potential to build on.
We are particularly looking for someone who can work as part of a team, have a good level of self initiative and able to contribute to menu development and be creative.
If you are a reliable person, flexible, work well under pressure and turn out quality home cooked food, then we want to hear from you.
We are looking for a candidate to work 40 hours a week but would very happily consider 2 part time candidates. We are an equal opportunities employer. Our shifts are generally 8 hours with 2 days off a week.
We are a small and friendly team who value the person and are passionate about the quality of our home cooked, locally sourced food in a really well equipped kitchen.
We use local produce where we can and have a great reputation for excellent pub food.
Food Hygiene Level 2 Essential.
First aid/ up to date Fire training an advantage.
Salary level will be based on experience. We need someone who is able to start as soon as possible. Getting the right, reliable candidate is important to us, someone who shares our vision and focus and is loyal.
