We are looking for a Nursery Manager / Training Officer to join our team.

Applicants must hold a full and relevant Early Years Qualification at level 3 or above and have a minimum of 3 years current experience in a managers position in a Day Nursery setting. Applicants must also have at least 5 years of early years experience.

We are looking for a Manager who has the skill set to support all members of the team, resolve issues promptly and effectively to maintain a harmonious nurturing environment.
The successful applicant would be responsible for the day to day running of the nursery, ensuring that risk assessments and daily checks were completed to comply with health and safety procedures. The Nursery Manager would be trained as the settings Designated Safeguarding Lead.
We are looking for candidates who have a detailed understanding of all aspects of the EYFS and can ensure that the nursery operates within OFSTED's requirements and is passionate about ensuring that outstanding practice is a goal and a benchmark for the care and education that all children receive. SENCo experience is advantageous although training can be provided.
Part of this role is to act as the company's training officer, implementing a strong coaching and mentoring culture and using this to create a positive cycle of review and development of skill sets within the team, offering support and guidance in a non-judgmental manner. The role would be to support all staff with their continuing CPD, accessing online learning platforms used by the company to match training required for individuals. Using shared knowledge, through a coaching and mentoring programme, would also be a development tool to guide the team to exemplary practice. The successful applicant would also work alongside external assessors to support apprentices in the workplace. Assessor / verifier training desirable but not essential.
This role does not include dealing with fees, funding, invoicing or headcounts as this is dealt with by the finance manager. This allows time to support the team, children and families directly.
We are looking for someone who values family partnership working, to ensure that our families are looked after to the standards expected within our company. Building strong foundations of shared care with our families through daily face to face communications is an important aspect of this role.
Experience of using Connect and iConnect is advantageous although training can be given.
