Banqueting Sous Chef, required for a prestigious boutique hotel located close in the Hastings / Tenterden area, East Sussex.
This property benefits from a dedicated new kitchen and walk-in fridge/freezer for the banqueting operation.
This property holds a number of events and private dining, which is growing with an increasing amount of wedding and private dining business.
As Banqueting Sous Chef, you will take full responsibility for the admin/coordination, ordering, preparation, and service of banqueting food.
You will also need to be flexible at certain times to assist the main kitchen during any quieter periods; however, your main focus will be within the banqueting department.
This property would consider taking on someone part-time, ie around 3 days a week (or more if they have more events on that week) - however, this would only be on the basis that you work exclusively for this property to ensure your availability to fulfil the business needs and bookings.
The salary for the role of Banqueting Sous Chef is given as £30,000 up to £35,000 per annum including benefits depending on experience. Possible live-in if required.
