Role overview: To manage the training activities for all BBC operational sites across the UK. Design and delivery of bespoke BBC training, incorporating EMCOR UK practices including customer service, ED&I, cultural alignment and the Be There For Life programmes. Duties/responsibilities/accountabilities/deliverables: Training Design & Delivery • In conjunction with the EUK central L&D team and incorporating existing EUK processes and practices, design training workshops to be delivered to employees working on the BBC account. • Working with the EUK central safety teams to embed the Be There For Life ethos and practices across all employees and teams on the BBC account, ensuring all mandatory training is complete and up to date. • Design and deliver face to face inductions and process for new EUK BBC starters to enhance the onboarding experience, ensuring attendance on monthly Corporate Welcome. • Creating and delivering bespoke BBC EUK full comprehensive induction programme for senior appointment in conjunction with EUK corporate welcome activities. • Ensure all new starters are provided with comprehensive site and company inductions by individual line managers • Deliver EUK training workshops to all customer facing roles including providing support as required to line managers to ensure best practices are maintained at all times • Deliver allyship and privilege workshops to all EUK BBC employees within the first year of the contract. Face to face delivery will be essential for larger sites and virtual for more remote locations • Working with the central L&D team to deliver additional EMCOR UK training materials, modules and workshops, ensuring BBC specific protocols are incorporated • Supporting the Culture Change Manager to create and deliver BBC-specific training workshops and cultural alignment training programmes Managing Training Compliance including statutory and mandatory training is completed and up to date Working with senior leadership teams to create training needs analysis and ensure appropriate technical and people skills training is identified, implemented and recorded in conjunction with central L&D function for all staff • Working with the EMCOR UK Apprenticeship Manager from the central EMCOR UK L&D team, to ensure experience and training management • Management reporting requirements to BBC senior leadership team and the Head of Learning and Development (for inclusion in the EUK board report packs). Training Compliance Continuous Improvement • Working with senior leadership team, client and central L&D to continually improve services and good practice to site-based personnel, contract and client. • Maintain and adhere to training process documents • Apply flexibility in approach to work requirements to maintain the standards/service required • Promote EUK platforms such as Learn, Talent, Perform (The Kallidus product set), Connect and Flex as vital learning tools for all employees on the BBC contract • Work with the ED&I and Wellbeing leads to promote specific training and development needs in this space for the BBC contract Line Management • Provide line management to three training co-ordinators across the account • Lead and motivate the training coordinators and agree/regularly review clear performance objectives for each team member, undertaking their annual performance review • Working with the appropriate EUK IT team to maintain BBC Training Hub ensuring all EUK information is up to date at all times for BBC employees • Encourage full use of EUK Connect and Flex platforms to ensure EUK BBC staff are fully informed of and up to date with EUK initiatives and activities • In conjunction with central L&D team, provide up to date information relating to EUK open programmes to support BBC colleagues Person Specification Who you will be: You will be a Enthusiastic and conscientious team player with an enthusiastic attitude. • Training and/or CIPD qualification required up to degree level or equivalent • Previous experience of similar roles • Excellent customer service skills • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written • Drive for continuous improvement • Good level of IT literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn bespoke computer systems. • Able to maintain high standards of personal presentation at all times • Commercial awareness • Flexible attitude, with willingness to adapt where required • Experience of working in a challenging fast paced operational environment Other factors relevant to the job • This role is site and office-based • Requirement for regular UK-wide travel • Full, clean driving licence essential Benefits Not Specified
