Learning and Development Manager The Learning and Development Manager role sits within the People Operations team and reports directly to the Head of People Operations. As the Learning and Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing learning and development programs to grow and support our talented employees at char.gy. This includes identifying training needs, creating and delivering engaging training sessions, coaching employees, and designing individual development plans with line managers. You will contribute to our overall People Strategy, business partner with department heads and work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for Learning & Development initiatives, managing both internal and external relationships. You will also manage our Training Matrix and will be responsible for encouraging further use of our e-learning platform. Responsibilities: Learning and Development Act as a point of contact for employees seeking guidance on development opportunities from all internal stakeholders. Collaborate with department heads and team leaders to identify skills gaps and training needs across the business. Deliver the new joiner orientation session and working collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure new hires receive necessary training. Organise and co-ordinate external training sessions with internal stakeholders and manage those external relationships as needed. Work with employees and managers to draft personalised development plans that align with individual career goals and business needs. Monitor and review development plans to ensure ongoing progress and alignment with organisational goals. Contribute to and enhance the overall Learning Strategy by staying informed of industry trends and innovations in the learning and development world. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including employees, managers, and executives, to ensure alignment and support for Learning & Development initiatives. Work closely with the People Operations Manager in delivering a high-quality employee experience, where employees feel connected to char.gy throughout the employee lifecycle, as and when required. Provide one-on-one coaching to employees to enhance their skills, performance, and career development. Reporting, Processes and Systems Develop and maintain a comprehensive, ISO compliant training matrix. Manage the roll out of our monthly mandatory compliance training through our LMS provider, VinciWorks. Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and other performance metrics. Provide regular reports on Learning & Development activities, outcomes, and ROI to the Head of People Operations. Recommend and implement new tools, technologies, and practices to enhance the effectiveness of Learning & Development initiatives. Be responsible for the administration of performance management processes, including tracking employee progress and maintaining accurate training records. Work closely with the People Operations Manager to deliver the People initiatives calendar by scheduling training sessions, meetings, and key People events. This role will suit you if you: have a bachelors degree in a related subject and/or CIPD Level 5 or above, Associate Diploma on Organisational Learning & Development. have previous experience in a Learning & Development role, ideally within a fast-paced environment, with demonstrable experience gained at senior advisor level or above. have proven experience in managing an ISO compliant training matrix. have strong experience using a Learning Management System, as well as broad Microsoft 365 skills ; specifically, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint. can take initiative and is proactive in identifying learning and development needs. have excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. have exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. are a proven self-starter with a results -driven and solution-orientated approach. have experience in coaching employees and developing development plans. are passionate about fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture through learning and development. have knowledge of basic employment law and HR best practice.
