An opportunity to join a team of experienced testers, testing computer based gaming content – i.e. slot machine style games and table games such as Roulette. The role is based at the Test Lab in Burton on Trent.
The role of the Content Tester ensures that relevant software is tested adhering to Compliance and in house testing standards. The Content Tester will conduct scripted and non-scripted tests via the user interface, requiring capturing of re-sults in Jira, and regular interaction with Product and Content Operations teams.
The scope includes conducting tests and documenting testing outcomes, all within tight time frames and rapid development/deployment cycles. The role is of critical importance to ensuring the quality of the products that Inspired provides.
Responsibilities
• Conduct predetermined and non-scripted test steps, on internally developed and 3rd party content, or associated schedules and promotions to support the monthly release strategy.
• Identify issues during testing and provide accurate documentation of such issues and steps to reproduce them, which can be easily followed by the developer.
Skills Required
• Experience of using Bug Tracking Software, such as JIRA, Bugzilla
• Knowledge of client/server architecture
• Experience of automated testing
• Understanding of hardware testing issues
• Knowledge of testing tools & processes
• ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing (ideal but not a prerequi-site)
• Experience of working in a test environment, team or function.
• Experience of testing entertainment software
• General IT knowledge, confidence and literacy (ability to use MS Office, able to install software, copy files, etc.)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to think outside the box, creating test cases to perform on the software.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Ability to manage own deadlines effectively
• Ability to multi-task effectively under pressure whilst maintaining a quali-ty deliverable
• Ability to stay focused when completing repetitive tasks.
