The position is responsible for growing tail lift sales in designated customer segments through strong account management and proactive value based selling.
Main tasks and responsibilities
● Achieve approved budget by meeting individual and team targets to grow new and existing customers
● Pursue sales leads, visit existing and new customers; access customer needs and suggest appropriate
products/services, negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority and conclude sales orders to
meet sales targets
● Manage assigned customer relations, act as business manager towards assigned customers and be the main
point of contact
● Identify, research and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future
sales and repeat business
● Refer sales leads, customer feedback and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within
organization
● Collaborate with technical support representatives in the market area to coordinate and channel technical
support towards assigned customers with market area
● Know, understand and comply with Hiab code of conduct and relevant competition laws
● Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements
● Use Salesforce (CRM) for documenting leads, sales and customer data
● Use configurator for quotations and price deviation approvals
● Perform all other duties as required by Manager within the physical constraints of the job.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
● Suitable educational background; commercial, mechanical engineer, production engineer or administrative
subjects (Bachelor/academic level)
Working experience:
● Minimum of 3 years of experience of sales and marketing within the commercial vehicle industry, preferable
with knowledge of tail lifts (but not essential as training will be provided).
Competence and skills:
● Ability to work in an international business environment/in a matrix organization
● Proven ability to drive and develop equipment business sales and profitability
● Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships
● Results and achievement driven and eager to create long term relationships
● High integrity and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
● Strong business mind-set with financial skills
● Good technical skills and product knowledge
