International Sales Manager – Drinks
We’re on the hunt for an Export Manager to join a fast-growing, independent drinks brand that’s been shaking things up since 2017. Known for their innovative, high-quality products, they’ve built a strong reputation in specialty cafes across the UK and Europe – and they’re just getting started. With big ambitions to expand globally (think Europe and the Middle East), they need someone who can take the lead on all things international.
This is a brand with heart – a team of passionate, easy-going people who work hard and love what they do. If you’re the kind of person who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and wants to play a key role in shaping a brand's global growth, this could be the gig for you.
THE ROLE
As Export Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving international sales, managing key accounts, and owning the export process end-to-end. You’ll work directly with the founders to shape the export strategy and take the lead on developing new markets. It’s a hands-on, autonomous role where you’ll need to balance strategic thinking with rolling up your sleeves to get things done.
You’ll be based in the North West, with a hybrid working set-up (3 days a week in the office, depending on location) and the opportunity to travel internationally.
Responsibilities
1. Working with the founders to develop and deliver an export strategy that drives growth.
2. Identifying and securing new business opportunities in international markets.
3. Conducting market research to understand demand, competition, and pricing.
4. Negotiating and closing deals with distributors, retailers, and partners.
5. Managing the end-to-end export process, from order to delivery.
6. Collaborating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners.
7. Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and documentation.
8. Overseeing inventory and warehouse operations related to export.
9. Building and maintaining strong relationships with international distributors and key accounts.
10. Providing training and support to partners to drive sales and brand visibility.
11. Monitoring performance and ensuring excellent service levels.
12. Reporting on key metrics and insights to the leadership team.
13. Representing the brand at international trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
14. Presenting products to potential clients and industry stakeholders.
15. Building relationships with industry influencers, trade bodies, and government agencies.
Qualifications
1. Experienced in export management and international sales – industry experience is a bonus but not essential. You know how to build and grow international markets.
2. Skilled at developing and delivering sales growth strategies in new markets.
3. A confident negotiator and communicator who can build lasting relationships.
4. Open to international travel when needed.
5. Familiar with CRM and ERP systems – a bonus, not a deal-breaker.
6. Entrepreneurial, proactive, and solution-focused – you don’t need someone telling you what to do.
7. Passionate about food & drink and excited to represent an innovative brand.
8. Collaborative and happy to get stuck in across the business when needed.
9. Autonomy to shape the role and the export strategy.
10. A chance to be part of a fast-growing, purpose-led brand with big ambitions.
