Job title: Training Manager Job type: Permanent Start date: As soon as possible, subject to clearance Salary: Competitive Location: Staffordshire Hours of work: 37 hours Candidates must posses the following: Qualification - CIPD or other equivalent/relevant education or training qualification Either worked as an Electrical Control Systems Engineer or experience delivering Electrical Engineering courses Ability to coach and mentor learners Able to communicate effectively at all levels, written and oral Work with the values of the company and set an example for behaviour's Candidates would ideally posses the following: Appropriate qualification in an Electrical/Electronic/control system/software Engineering related field Role information: Working with the Learning and Development Advisor and the engineering leads to lead all aspects of engineering training within the company. Advising on engineering training interventions in all disciplines and ensure appropriate provider/delivery Work with the Engineering Managers to refresh and up skill their engineering populations Develop and advise on technical training content as and when required. Create a positive environment by engaging with learners/employees and balance aspirations with reality Help all learners/employees develop confidence in their abilities as they progress through their courses. Challenge decision making positively and with consideration. Support engineering development reviews and input into annual reviews Support all other areas of training and development across the business Constant advocate for continual professional development and demonstrate in own attitude and behaviour Lead the Apprenticeship scheme and support apprentices on all aspects throughout their education journey Attend regular reviews with the learners and the education providers. Ensure effective communication between the Education Providers Lead, Learner, Mentor and Client, to ensure clear and effective communication. Work with the education providers to ensure content is relevant and appropriate and discuss how gaps can be closed Understand the planned curriculum for the learners and provide support where needed. Lead the mentor network and offer guidance & support as and when required. Develop a technical environment for the apprentices to learn hands on technical skills (longer term).
