Sodexo Live! are currently recruiting for a Head Chef to join our talented staff community on The Bateaux London to support the team to deliver a world-class guest experience on our beautiful cruises along the River Thames and at our stunning Pier Bar on the Embankment.

Main Responsibilities
1. To ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day culinary business within Bateaux London hierarchy, always striving to be the best and produce the best food possible.
2. Efficient management of culinary team.
3. Working with the sales and marketing teams to ensure we are always best in class with tastings and photo shoots organized to get the brand out there.
4. Working with the finance teams to ensure all costings and spends are in line with budget and tasking on betterment to budgets.
5. Managing all costs in line with agreed budgets and forecasts with the Venue Director.
6. Managing the culinary team of senior sous, sous, and CDPs as well as KPs and cleaners.
7. Working with the Head of Operations to ensure the food delivery and quality is in line with the current SOPS of service.
8. To oversee and be responsible for the receipt, storage, and reconciliation of all goods deliveries. To ensure par stock levels are managed and communicated in line with expected levels of business.
9. Has specific ownership of Back of House, F&B and their integration and maintenance at Bateaux London.
10. To support all managers and staff by taking an active interest in ensuring they are supported in all system areas, health and safety, revenue generation, and cash control.
11. To manage and process rotas, daily labour inputting, and assist in weekly labour reports.
12. To ensure the organization and preparation of all public cruise menus to the very highest standards, and mentor the senior and junior team in doing so.
13. To support the HSEQ to deliver the culinary and food safety elements of Bateaux London and Windsor business including client tastings, chef briefings, food safety compliance, and operational standards and event delivery.
14. To ensure the timely and efficient preparation and service of all food offers to Sodexo’s and the clients’ satisfaction.
15. To demonstrate a knowledge of current food trends and have the ability to bring innovation into the food offers in the events business.
The Ideal Candidate
You will already have solid experience of working in a similar role and have a passion for customer service and fine dining. You will be confident, self-motivated, and ambitious and have the ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines.
As well as this you will have:
1. Good communication skills.
2. Knowledge on FnB systems.
3. Knowledge of stock rotation and control.
4. The ability to be methodical and ensure operating procedures are enforced and developed.
5. Excellent organisational skills and be focused on service delivery.
6. You must be able to work 5 over 7 and some evenings.
