Head Chef Carnforth We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at a busy country inn in Carnforth, known for serving high-quality, homemade fresh food. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and skilled chef to take charge of a thriving kitchen. Role Details: Location: Carnforth Rate: £19 per hour (Invoice or PAYE) Hours: 4-5 day working week Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of the kitchens daily operations. Plan and develop seasonal menus featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes during busy service periods. Manage food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet customer expectations. Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance with all health regulations. Train, lead, and motivate the kitchen team to deliver excellent service. Monitor stock levels, place orders, and control kitchen costs to achieve budget targets. Implement and maintain efficient kitchen processes and ensure a clean working environment. What Were Looking For: Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a high-volume, fresh food environment. Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and consistency. Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and cost control.
