What we're looking for: We are looking for a Meeting and Events Sales Executive who will be a passionate, enthusiastic and eager to learn & grow within the hospitality industry to join our team here at DoubleTree by Hilton Hull. Your role will involve organizing and coordinating impressive events while managing and driving sales for a leading hotel. Day in the life of: You will support a busy events department throughout the entire event process. From the initial proposal to the final event, you’ll help create unforgettable experiences. This role involves making proactive calls to potential clients, building strong relationships, and showcasing our venue during site visits. You’ll coordinate final details with clients, work closely with the operations team to ensure everything runs smoothly, and handle essential admin tasks along the way. As part of a supportive team, you’ll play a key role in bringing events to life, ensuring every detail is perfect and every guest has an amazing experience. Key responsibilities: Promoting and selling the hotel and its facilities through various channels. Handling event inquiries via phone, email or walkin's (e.g. Banquets, parties, corporate events) Entering event details into the sales system (Delphi). Preparing reports and sharing information for upcoming events. Keeping up-to-date with hotel services and offerings. Answering calls, emails, and attending meetings. Managing and responding to customer feedback. Identifying new sales opportunities and supporting sales growth. Building relationships with new and existing clients Collaborating with other departments. Meeting key performance targets (KPIs). Preparing and sharing accurate event details (function sheets). Collecting pre-orders and payments.
