Gama Aviation are recruiting for an experienced MRO Training Manager, based at our modern base facility in Bournemouth. As the Training Manager, you will adhere to and uphold 1321/2014 regulations and be able to hold a nominated Form 4 position for Gama Aviation Part 147 Training School.
You will be responsible for planning, organising, leading, and supervising the Technical Training Department staff, whilst ensuring that training targets are met and maintained in accordance with CAA/EASA Part-147 and Part-145 requirements and business needs to meet current legislation. You will have a great deal of responsibility with endless opportunity for impact and freedom for initiatives. You may be required to travel to other Gama locations to support business needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the role of the UK CAA/EASA Part-147 (form 4) nominated person at Gama Aviation Technical Training.
2. Manage the day-to-day running of the Training Department Staff, Programmes, and Resources.
3. Carry out the duties of an aircraft technical training instructor and be qualified on type and within the company's EASA Part-147 approval.
4. Produce and update all student training notes and presentations for the Aircraft types.
5. Evaluate technical training programmes to ensure they achieve organisational objectives and remain cost-effective to deliver.
6. Carry out the annual training planning meeting and produce a training programme for the forthcoming year.
7. Manage Gama Aviation Engineering Apprentices and liaise with local and national training and educational organisations (Colleges/Schools).
8. Carry out the duties and responsibilities of a Part 147 Approved Examiner.
9. Produce monthly KPI and progress reports as required by the business.
10. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation relevant to technical training and disseminate any new requirements appropriately to colleagues.
11. Continuously improve and develop training material, through awareness of new training advancements, technologies, best practices, and changes within training and learning environments.
12. Seek and engage with potential customers to generate revenue through the delivery of training courses.
Minimum Requirements:
1. 2 years of experience in a similar position and previous employment in a Part-147, Part-145, or Part-21 environment.
2. Knowledge of Learning and Development.
3. Knowledge of CAA/EASA Part 145/Part 147/Part 66 regulations.
4. Able to deliver training courses on Human Factors, EWIS, FTS, and Recurrent Training.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Adaptable with excellent planning and organisational skills.
7. Ability to cope with pressure and change.
8. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
9. Prepared to work away from base when required.
