Job Description
Parsonage Grill, belonging to the 35-bedroom five-star Old Parsonage Hotel, is famous for its intimate, bohemian, and clubby atmosphere. The menu philosophy focuses on using the best local produce available to create a menu of sophisticated yet simple British dishes.
To successfully lead this 60-100 cover, fast-paced, all-day operation requires energy, inspiration, and steadfast attention to detail. A natural leader with proven management competency, you will encourage a culture of respect and teamwork. You will influence, motivate, and develop a team of 13 chefs and porters to achieve excellence and consistency, supporting our small company ethos to nurture and cultivate our staff to progress within the business.
Overseeing regular, seasonal menu changes, and development of dishes will be second nature to you. You will be responsible for providing menu input based on your experience of similar forward-thinking, ingredient-led restaurants. We expect to see proven competence by way of ordering, stock, and food cost control, as well as rota management and managing payroll costs. You will be expected to hold and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and Food Hygiene legislation.
