Job Description We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Guildford, United Kingdom. As the second-in-command in our kitchen, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of food quality and kitchen operations. Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistent quality and presentation Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop innovative menu items and seasonal specials Manage and organise your designated station, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff to support their professional development Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen Participate in quality control measures, including taste-testing and presentation checks Assist in managing kitchen budgets and controlling food costs Step in for the Head Chef in their absence, assuming full responsibility for kitchen operations
