We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Executive to join our Iceland Partnerships team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will develop partnerships with wholesale customers, showcasing our broad product range, and grow sales to this target audience.

Role responsibilities:
DRIVE PROFITABLE SALES GROWTH
Grow our overall company sales by selling product in bulk to partners, through our wholesale apparatus
Work with key colleagues to develop a plan to drive business
Focus on LFL growth with increased spend for existing business customers, and new customers introduced
Margin management- Achieve sales and profit results in a sustainable manner which is based on a customer focused and competitive offer
Directly target businesses and sell the Iceland proposition to them
Actively meet customers to develop relationships and onboard new customers, introducing them to the Iceland brand
Track B2B customers and engage with relevant stakeholders to help manage these relationships
Overall responsibility for the gross profit aspirations of the wholesale operation
Weekly reporting of accurate sales and profitability information to the International & Partnerships Director
PROBLEM SOLVE AND PROVIDE A GREAT EXPERIENCE FOR OUR BUSINESS CUSTOMERS
Highlight key business markets and understand their needs and methods of operating
Identification of key points of difference from competitors to highlight reasons for business customers to utilise our offering
Understand weaknesses in the offering of competitors to ensure we solve as many problems as possible that business owners face when supplying their business- creating a mutually beneficial relationship
Involvement in the prevention/ resolution of supply and availability issues to ensure consistent offering to business customers
Reduce the cost base associated with transport and picking costs for bulk orders direct from depot
Ensure full knowledge of market conditions and deliver competitivity in line with Directors plan
KEEPING THINGS SIMPLE AND EFFICIENT TO REDUCE COSTS
Responsibility for utilising existing structures and systems where possible, to maximise efficiency and reduce costs
Ensuring that, where necessary, new processes and functions are simple and easy to manage, with a focus on stores and depots being able to cope
Adherence to all policies to ensure the smooth running of the department (e.g. tidy desk policy)
Full responsibility for accuracy of administration- ensuring that pricing schedules, promotional deadlines and depot schedules are accurate and adhered to
Coordinate tasks (unprompted) where necessary- acknowledging that there is a responsibility to work across departments and job roles to achieve goals
LOOKING AFTER GREAT PEOPLE
Building strong partnerships and relationships with businesses in order to drive sales
Liaising with decision makers and senior points of contact, both within the business and in target markets
Clear communication within the business- utilising relevant teams and individuals to ensure overall benefit to Iceland
Honouring the GSCOP guidelines laid out by the government to protect Icelands reputation as a brand
