Sous Chef Required
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of a Sous chef
Swadlincote DE12
Role and key responsibilities for our Sous chef
•Leading kitchen team in chef's absence
•Overseeing and organising kitchen stock and ingredients
•Supervising all food preparation
•Working with our Head Chef in maintaining kitchen organisation
•Assisting Head Chef with menu creation
•Managing the kitchen aspect and kitchen team for off-site functions, weddings and events ensuring food is prepared, cooked and delivered to a very high standard as per the chosen menu requirements
Minimum Requirements for our Sous chef
•Hold a full driving license (maximum of 3 points)
•Previous experience within the hospitality industry as a Sous Chef
•Demonstrable knowledge in the following areas:
oOccupational Health and Safety Act
oWorkplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS)
oFederal and Provincial regulations on food handling and serving
oFIFO (First In, First Out) Food Storage procedures
oSanitation and Food Safety
oFood Preparation / Presentation
oMenu Management
oUse of Wines, Liquors and Spirits in cooking
oAllergens legislation
Salary : £32.000 per annum
Working Hours:
40 hours per week (variable hours on a rota basis)
