Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and preparation. As Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring that our dishes are not only delicious but also beautifully presented.
Duties
* Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
* Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
* Ensure all food safety regulations and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to in the kitchen.
* Supervise food preparation and production processes to maintain quality and consistency.
* Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff, promoting professional development within the team.
* Monitor stock levels and manage inventory effectively to minimise waste and control costs.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation and production.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising staff.
* Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are highly desirable.
* A creative flair for developing new dishes while maintaining traditional favourites.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
