Job Description
Our client, a well-established freight forwarding company based in Felixstowe are looking for a Freight Sales Executive to join their team.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Focus and drive to achieve targets
* Identify sales opportunities whilst profiling all new businesses to understand intricately how the business can support with freight / customs
* Represent the company in the best possible light with internal and external stakeholders
* Proactively scope new business opportunities
* Track and manage the CRM system, ensuring ongoing liaison with existing clients and follow up of prospective customers
* Demonstrate a track record of developing and enhancing current client portfolios
* Liaise with customers, suppliers, and overseas agents
* Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge
* Display excellent communication skills that include the ability to influence and negotiate where required
Skills & Experience Required:
* Previous experience in freight sales, logistics, or a related industry is preferred
* Strong understanding of the freight and logistics sector, including shipping methods, pricing, and regulations
* Proven ability to generate new business and close sales
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
* Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
* Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
* Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
